#150 Stampin’ Blends – Acetate Blending
In this video I share with you a little-used but incredibly useful technique of “Acetate Blending.” Simply scribble onto a piece of acetate (or an acrylic block or piece of plastic scrap) using a dark or intense-coloured marker, and then pick up a bit of the dark ink using a lighter marker. You will instantly have a mix of the two! What a great way to stretch your markers into more colours. And, again, you will not harm your markers using this technique.
Tips & Tricks to Note
- “Acetate Blending” is a quick way to create shades you don’t have in your collection. Plus, it works really well on colours that are not in the same colour family.
- This technique works just as well with three markers as it does with four.
- Clean your acrylic block using a simple alcohol wipe or stazon remover.d
