#93 Striped Background

I’m back with a video showing how to create a soft striped background. In past videos I’ve shared how to use a lot of water to create a blended look. Here I demonstrate how to keep distinct stripes of colour yet still have a lovely, soft look.

Tips & Tricks to Note

  • Don’t be afraid to pick colour up directly from your inkpad using a wet paint brush. Your inkpad should be just fine. However, if it makes you nervous, go ahead and apply the ink to an acrylic block or non-stick craft mat to use as a palette.
  • Try alternating the width of your stirpes by switching up your brushes to switch up your look or try creating diagonal stripes. There are so many ways you can personalise this simple idea.
