#101 Watercolour an Image with Watercolour Pencils
Watercolour Pencils are a wonderful medium choice when you want to simplify your watercolouring: you can just grab a pack of pencils, a water painter, and you’re ready to go!

Tips & Tricks to Note
- Before you add water, most watercolour pencil options are erasable with a standard eraser, especially the lighter colours. Be sure to test erasing for your brand on scratch paper first—you may not be able to fully get rid of the pencil marks.
- Just like with traditional watercolours, simply adding clean water once the colour is dry allows you to rework watercolour pencils.
- If you’re stamping on cold-press watercolour paper, a stamparatus can help you get down into the texture and will offer crisper results than a traditional acrylic block.
